Echo Lake in Summer, Fall, and Winter
Echo Lake is one of those places that never really looks the same twice. I’ve photographed sessions there on rainy summer evenings, during peak fall color, and even on snowy winter proposal days, and every single one has felt completely different in the best way.
Some days the mountains disappear into fog and the whole lake feels quiet and cinematic. Other days the water reflects bright fall color and everything feels warm and golden. No matter the season, it’s one of my favorite places in the White Mountains for couples wanting photos that feel natural, relaxed, and connected to the landscape around them.
What I love most about photographing at Echo Lake is how each session naturally takes on its own mood depending on the season, weather, and couple. Even returning to the same location over and over, it never feels repetitive.

Echo Lake is one of those places I’ll probably never get tired of photographing, no matter the season.
